How to get Here
Getting to The Hive is easy—we’re conveniently located in the heart of Arusha, just a short drive from the city center and easily accessible from both Arusha and Kilimanjaro International Airports. Whether you’re arriving by car, shuttle, or private transfer, our central location makes us the perfect base for exploring Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.
Weather
Dry Season – June to October
There is lots of sunshine on the Crater floor, with afternoon temperatures around 19°C/66°F, but the rim is often covered in mist, so it tends to be chilly and you’ll need warm clothing for game drives.
Wet Season – November to May
while October is usually sunny, if the short rains arrive early, they could start in late October. During the wet season, it gets warmer during the day with temperatures around 23°C/73°F on the Crater floor, but mornings are still cold.
November and December is ‘Short rains’ season. These rains are highly unlikely to impact your safari as it won’t rain all day. Showers usually happen in the afternoon. The short rains last about one month and can occur anytime in November to December.
March, April and May is ‘Long rains’ season. It often rains, but it rarely lasts the entire day. April and May could experience very chilly conditions due to cold fronts.
